About FRP Lighting Pole
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Centrifugal casting is a production technology used to make composite poles with fiberglass in the shape of a truncated cone with maximum length of 10 meter.
The pole is formed by inserting the reinforcement fiberglass in a specific rotating mold that has a truncated-cone cavity. Due to centrifugal force, the fiberglass adheres to the walls of the mold and takes its shape.
The matrix resin inside the mold is impregnated with fiberglass due to the rapid rotation of the mold centrifugal casting. It also hardens by polymerizing when it comes in contact with the heated mold.
The poles produced by centrifugal casting can have consistence thickness due to the possibility of controlling the distribution of the reinforcement inside the mold. This way, tapered poles are obtained which are reinforced only in the critical areas determined by their use. This is accomplished without increasing thickness and thus weight over the entire length.
This technology makes it possible to make products with a high degree of dimensional and physical-mechanical repeatability.

FAQ's of FRP Lighting Pole:
Q: How is the FRP Lighting Pole installed for different locations?
A: The poles can be installed using either surface-mounted or root-mounted techniques, depending on site requirements. Their lightweight nature and custom sizing options make them adaptable for streets, parks, pathways, and industrial premises, ensuring efficient and secure mounting.
Q: What makes the FRP Lighting Pole resistant to harsh weather conditions?
A: This lighting pole is engineered from corrosion-resistant FRP material with a smooth, anti-aging surface and a UV-protected gel coat finish. These properties enable it to withstand wind speeds up to 180 km/h and exposure to sun, rain, and environmental pollutants without degradation.
Q: When should I consider choosing FRP poles over traditional metal lighting poles?
A: FRP poles are ideal when lightweight, non-conductive, corrosion-resistant, and low-maintenance solutions are needed. Especially beneficial in coastal or high-wind areas, they provide an extra measure of durability and safety against electrical hazards compared to metal options.
Q: Where can these lighting poles be applied effectively?
A: These poles are suitable for various outdoor environments, including streets, parks, public spaces, pathways, and industrial facilities. Their robust construction and IP65 rating allow them to function optimally in both urban and rural settings.
Q: What benefits does the eco-friendly manufacture of these poles provide?
A: Manufactured from recyclable FRP using eco-friendly processes, these poles reduce environmental impact throughout their lifecycle. Choosing this product supports sustainable infrastructure while maintaining high performance and longevity.
Q: How does the non-conductive property enhance safety during usage?
A: As non-conductive materials, FRP poles eliminate the risk of electrical shocks, ensuring safety for both installers and the public. This is especially valuable in areas prone to accidental contact with live wiring or during maintenance work.
Q: What is the expected lifespan and maintenance requirement of the FRP Lighting Pole?
A: The pole offers a life span of over 15 years with remarkably low maintenance needs. Its anti-aging and corrosion-resistant properties mean fewer inspections and repairs, resulting in lower operational costs and greater reliability.
